About this policy

Outfit Genie helps you organise your wardrobe, plan outfits and pack suitcases. This policy explains what information the app uses when you do that. It applies to the Outfit Genie app and website.

Information you give us

• Account information, such as your email address and sign-in details, including information supplied through Google sign-in if you choose it.
• Photos you upload of clothes and, if you choose to use virtual try-on, photos of yourself. We also store the item details you enter or edit.
• Your styling choices, saved looks, folder names, suitcase destinations, trip length and plans, and the outfits or images generated for you.

How we use it

We use this information to run your account, save and display your wardrobe and looks, analyse garment photos, suggest outfits and packing lists, generate outfit images and virtual try-ons, and apply daily usage limits. Photos and relevant styling inputs are sent to an AI service when you request an AI feature. AI-generated suggestions and images can be inaccurate; please check them before relying on them.

Location and weather

On Style me, the app may ask your browser for your location. If you allow it, your coordinates are sent from your device to Open-Meteo for current weather and to BigDataCloud to find a nearby place name. The app uses the returned weather to help fill your styling choice. You can deny or revoke location permission in your browser and enter weather manually instead. The app does not save your precise coordinates in your wardrobe.

Where information goes

Your account, wardrobe photos and saved looks are held by our app hosting and storage provider. AI requests go through Outfit Genie’s AI provider and its underlying model providers. Weather requests go to Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud if location access is allowed. If you choose an external product link, you leave Outfit Genie for the retailer or affiliate partner, whose own privacy policy applies. We do not sell your uploaded wardrobe photos as affiliate product data.

Storage and choices

Sign-in uses browser storage or cookies to keep your session. The installable app may cache app files on your device for faster loading; clearing browser site data removes those local copies. Your wardrobe items, saved looks and suitcases remain in your account until removed through the app or otherwise deleted. Removing an item from a suitcase does not remove it from your wardrobe. Deleting a saved entry in the app may not immediately remove every underlying image copy or backup. Do not upload images you do not have permission to use.

Your rights and updates

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to certain uses. We may update this policy as the service changes. To make a privacy request, use our contact form.
